The Direct Support Associate in the Day Support Options program is responsible for providing direct care both in the facility and in the community to program individuals with developmental disabilities. They will supervise, coach, teach and monitor program individuals for the attainment of goals.

Position: Direct Support Associate
Type: Full-Time, 6:30 am- 2:30 pm/7:30 am-3:30 pm/8 am-4 pm

What will you do?
Transporting individuals to and from their home and on community outings,
develop, plan, and engage individuals in meaningful activities in the center such as arts and crafts, simple exercising, socializing, music, and more, attending to individuals needs in activities of daily living, lifting, transferring and or repositioning, accurately recording attendance, and daily documentation on goals and behaviors in an internet-based data collection system. In addition, the Direct Support Associate needs to be positive, flexible, collaborative, communicative and problem solve.
Skills and Requirements:
An associate degree in human services or related field with at least one year of experience or equivalent to a high school diploma/general education diploma with at least two years’ experience working in a human service agency supporting individuals with disabilities.
Have a driver’s license for five (5) plus years and a clean driving record. Have reliable transportation and a track record of excellent attendance at previous job or school.
Are knowledgeable and understand Developmental and Physical disabilities and Abuse & Neglect. First Aid, CPR, Physical and Psychological Management Training and Medication Administration Certification is a plus.
